    1963 door panel whiskers

I have already broken two small drills trying to install staples in the whiskers/door panel. Any ideas of how to do this will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jeff

I used a small awl for a 71, but you could also use a small nail or similar. Those are cheap to replace and usually come with hundreds in a box.

Obviously, use wood as a backer underneath it.

I was able to use the 1/16" drill bit just go slow and let the cutting tip on the bit do the work.

Better quality drill bits and less muscle.

        It takes patience.

Yup. If you 'lean into it' you're gonna snap those thin bits, I don't care what they are made out of...a little light oil can help with the cutting...
