70 WIPER DECAL 5044758 40 0 2 a what is that date ?????

The wiper motor on my 70 has a proper part number 5044758 but show 40 0 2 A date
What the heck is that date I can't see where it matches anything NCRS for 70 2 for Feb 0 for 1970
but 40 ????? doesn't match NCRS Book or Paragon repro 70 had so many strikes who knows
Mid March 70 build Convertible THANK YOU Bob

40th day 1970 2nd shift A makes sense roughly Feb 9th 70 correct for March build

Here is one from a July built 72. 152nd day of 1972. Not sure what the 4 B stands for.
