Guys: My roadster has no heater box and the cockpit climate controls do not reference "Heat." The vehicle was delivered new to Dixie Chevrolet, Florence, SC in June of 1966. Thereafter it appears to have been enjoyed exclusively in SC and TX. How do I tell if this C2 was Heater Delete or not? Any guidance appreciated. Many thanks. Best, Ned

I think you may already determined that it is a heater delete optioned car. However, additional things to look for are a plug in the heater control opening in the dash, a pipe plug in the heater hose fitting on the intake manifold, and a block-off plate for the heater box.
By the way, I've always considered that folks that ordered heater delete did a very dumb thing. Sure, there are places in the country where a heater might not be that necessary. However, when you opt out of the heater, you also opt out of a defroster. That you might need anywhere and it's a safety-related item. As a matter of fact, beginning for the 1968 model year, heater delete was dropped because federal motor vehicle safety standards required a defroster. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
