    C-1 4 Speed T handle

I'm trying to repair a C-1 4 speed shifter T-handle. Apparently bubba twisted the T-handle and broke the retaining pin that keeps the T-handle in place. Does anyone know what type of pin this is? It looks like a16 gauge nail from an air nailer, but probably much stronger.

Pat, sitting here at my bench having lunch and on my shelf 3 feet away is a reproduction. Here are a few pics. It's nonmagnetic and looks like a long brass rivet that was hammered over at the end.

You could probably use a long machine screw and threadlocker on the nut to get by in a pinch.

Thanks Rich I just tried a short cotter pin and bent the ends over, it appears to do the trick.
