    Corvettes with different engines

If a Corvette is judged and the original engine was defected and replaced or damaged and replaced, by the original first owner during the same year the car was bought, and the paper trail proves that, is the car of less value and will it loose points since it is not the original motor ?

The answer to your question can be found in the Judging Reference Manual at this link.

National Corvette Restorers Society! Judging Reference Manual - NEW Ninth Edition! The NCRS Judging System is quite complex- don't go in without a guide! This manual outlines all rules, procedures, and policies pertaining to NCRS judging events held world-wide, conducting an NCRS Judging School, Duntov Mark of Excellence Awards, McLellan Mark of Excellence Awards, Flight Awards, Performance Verification Testing,

      Walter
paper trails are not judged, only the cars, and all the parts thereof, for the appearance of originality. If the engine in a given car is judged to not appear like the engine that would have come in the car when new, by virtue of its casting no., date, pad stampings, block configuration, etc, there will be judging deductions. And normally vettes that do not have their original engine sell for less money than equivalent vettes WITH their original engine.

      John,
That was a pretty sharp slap at Vinnie, who is too nice of a man to deserve such a slap. You must have already forgotten your NY resolution to be nicer to people in 2017.

        John,
Vinnie's answer is very appropriate. The NCRS judging reference manual is not an expensive book and every member considering putting a car through the judging process NEEDS to own it. As far as affect on the value of the car, we don't have any business addressing that discussion here anyway.

By "NY resolution" you must mean New Year. No one from New York would ever make such a silly resolution,

your point is well taken, but I think Vinnie was capable of giving the response made by Don Hooper. Don's explanation is exactly what I like to see in any forum.
