Another idler arm, center link, steering assembly finish question Power Steering

Having reviewed other threads, seems the entire assembly was painted with tar based paint at the Buffalo plant. I am assuming this did not include the valve or cylinder. Would I be correct?

The center center link was left natural as forged with a similar finish as the rear strut rods.

It has been said that the tie rod sleeves were natural. I am thinking they had the tar paint as well.

What are you guys using for this paint. Anything available out of a spray can?

Bill here are a couple of photo's of a 72 ZR1 300 miles. pretty much everything was natural, What does the new JM say?

Thank you Edward. I have not picked up the latest JM due to finances. I am in a real pickle due to college expenses for the kids. About 90 % sure I am going to have to sell my baby.
