1958 door panel restoration
i am about to pursue redoing my original door panels. i am assuming that i will just clean them and use a vinyl spray to update th ered color. any tips on procedure and products to use would be appreciated. thanks you.

I've never re-sprayed door panels, but make sure you strip everything off. I'd try a small area at the bottom to see if you get the desired results. Usually the cardboard has swell up from moisture and you may not get the desired results. On my 59, the panels were original to the car but the cardboard was waterlogged. after trying to restore them I decided to purchase new one and reuse the trim pieces.
