    Exhaust Manifolds 3797901 and 3797902

    Hello everyone,

I recently purchased exhaust manifolds 3797901 and 3797902 for my 1963 Coupe with a manual transmission and has 300hp. I noticed the, what I believe are the "Flanges" where the alternator and the Air Condition bolt to the manifolds, that one of the flanges, the 902, is longer than the other by about 1/2 inch. Before I install these on the car, is this correct?

    Thanks, Kenneth

        Tracy and Edward,

Thanks for your responses. This is my first Corvette and my first time restoring one. I thought the snouts were correct but I just needed someone to help me with my thoughts and questions. Tracy, thanks for letting me know they're called snouts.

        Thanks again, Kenneth

Well, actually not sure that is the correct technical term, but it did seem appropriate.

Maybe you've named something that has no name. Had me fooled, from now on I'll refer to them as snouts...maybe "Crisler Snouts"
I'm sure they have a name.

Hmm...well I've heard a song about dude on a horse with no name, but I would never guess these features would have existed for 55 years without some kind of an identifier.

              Anything is possible ...
