Anyone else see a louvred air cleaner like on the video?

For the record the fuel injection featured(7014360) was never used on a production passenger car. Just the pilot cars. John

John, On the 1957 Super Sport. (Engine on the dyno)








The Super Sport "technically" was the first Corvette with Fuel Injection, shown for the first time in January 1957 at the Waldorf Astoria in NY. Car was built in the Styling Department at a cost of $18,000. Zora was building his "SS" race car at the same time. The 2 often get confused.
The Super Sport was built from a '56 taken off the line then re-tagged to make it a '57.







Then in Chicago....Mayor Daly in the 3rd pic.






It got wrecked in Albuquerque NM late '57, stored outside in a junk yard, sat in a garage for dozens of years, then found and restored.

BTW, the battle is over. You may see this car pretty soon driving around!












This is what it looked like before John B. got it. Took him 7 years to buff it out.
