Is there a sample of what this $300 document looks like? Is it essentially a letter on NCRS letterhead listing the awards for example? Is there a specific format that it is laid out with car VIN etc. Does it briefly describe each award the car has earned (i.e. for the novice who isn't up to speed with our organization?) Has anyone listening purchased this document and your thoughts? I understand we are paying for validation. Happy New Year everyone!!

Re: Award Confirmation Document
IIRC, the letter will state that car VIN # was awarded a 1st/2nd/3rd flight ribbon in year whatever at chapter/regional/national meet held in wherever place.
Nothing in terms of validation past that.- Top

Re: Award Confirmation Document
Dave , does the car have a NCRS sticker on one of the windows, sometimes this can indicate that car may have been through the judging process as this will give the car a few extra points for judging. I am not sure just how many years they have done this but some one surely knows the answer to this.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Re: Award Confirmation Document
Ed......don't understand your question. My thread references the award confirmation document and what it consists of. My car is a highly awarded survivor. I have retired the car from judging meets since it has essentially every NCRS and BG award offered. Having said that is the award confirmation document worthwhile?? I'm not sure...........- Top

Re: Award Confirmation Document
If you have owed car since new and you know what awards it has. then there is no reason to look any farther. if you want to find out the years that maybe you did not owed the car, than to find out you'll have to pay the fee to find out. if this is the case maybe worth while chasing the history from prev. owners first.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Re: Award Confirmation Document
I know what awards the car has. But does the award confirmation document provide a value-added should the car be sold?? If the document is a well presented certificate that could be framed for example it may be worth considering otherwise its cost prohibitive IMHO. I have not seen a sample of what this document looks like or consists of so if there are some specifics available it would be helpful.- Top

Re: Award Confirmation Document
Ed, I know your mentioned "sometimes" Keep in mind the NCRS store and chapters sell them. And when a new member joins they get one (or they used to)Pete Bergmann

Re: Award Confirmation Document
I have one too (shown in picture, all the various disclaimers are on the back about time/place/judging, etc.), but I have found the certificates and ribbons presented by NCRS for the awards at the meets, and especially the judging score sheets are the most valuable to a buyer. If you still have all those, the summary letter is redundant.Attached FilesBig Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: Award Confirmation Document
Thank you Mike............thats exactly what I was looking for. You are absolutely right about the actual certs, ribbons and scoring sheets. They certainly provide a detailed account and verification of each award and I have those. Your document appears to be a summary of some of those elements associated with each award. Thanks again for the picture.- Top
