I am in middle of Body Off Restoration of my 1964 Coupe PG Trans and can't find anyone who has/offers NOS/Reproduction
of the Neutral Safety Switch GM Part#1993637, can anyone help

Ray, there are a couple NOS on E/Bay not cheap!! they are a rare item.

You've asked about one of those parts that you don't want to need. GM #1993637 was discontinued without supersession in April, 1974. That means it's been gone for over 42 years now. This switch was applicable only to 1963-64 Corvettes with Powerglide transmission. NOS parts like this dry up quickly and 42 years is anything but a short time. The very limited application of this switch probably limits its viability for reproduction. After all, only 5,101 cars were ever built which used this switch and the last one was built 52 years ago. Of course, it's not impossible that a reproduction is available and I just don't know of it. It's also possible that a reproduction for another application is available that will work, with or without some modification. I cannot advise on that.

As far as NOS goes, you might find that one of the "courts of last resort" suppliers (e.g. Piper's Automotive Specialties, Corvette Stop, etc.) might have one of these for sale. These folks inventories of rare parts can last a long while because their prices "separate the men from the boys". If you inquire of them for an NOS piece and they have it, make sure you're sitting down and heavily sedated when they quote a price. They might have good used for a less shocking price, though.

By the way, I show the GM #1993637 as being a back-up lamp switch only. It may also have a neutral safety start function, though.

Apparently, although the GM #1993637 is listed only as a back-up lamp switch, it combines back-up lamp and neutral safety start functions. A switch with only neutral safety start is available from GM/Delco under GM #88923437, aka Delco D2217C. Using parts of this switch it MIGHT be possible to repair the switch you have, especially if the problem lies in the neutral safety start part of the switch. Or, it might otherwise be possible to repair the switch you have. I think that's the best course of action. Of course, if you have no switch, at all, that's a big problem.

There are two items on eBay that purport to be neutral safety start switches for 1963-64 Corvettes with back-up lamps. Both are from the same seller. These are GM part number 1993359. I cannot find any indication that this switch was EVER cataloged by GM for 1963-64 Corvettes with Powerglide and back-up lamps. In fact, this is a part number series that came into use about 1965 and the only application I can find for it is 1966-69 G10-20 series trucks with Powerglide. So, the seller that has these switches who thinks he has a "gold mine" is mistaken. I think he will find that folks with 1966-69 G10-20 series trucks and needing a back-up lamp switch, if there exist any such folks, are not going to be willing to pay his price.

Roy I looked at the switch on E bay and my 63 switch. They look the same other than the wires and plug. I think you can modify them so they will work on your car.
