1970 job number why multiple numbers

My 70 Convertible has the number 467 by Crayola / lumber chalk on the rear of passenger compartment under carpet

it also has 98 on the inside of the passenger wheel well- white Crayola may have had a additional number before the 98

I assumed the 467 is the job number right? what is the 98? Curious

I think enough analysis has been done to say that job number and VIN number have no relationship.

I believe 467 designates convertibles, 98 is your job number. 194670S406787
You may find the job number repeated under the heat shield, passenger side, fire wall(engine side) or in front of the fuel tank on the bulk head. (Fuel tank needs removed to see it.)

My coupe has 437 written in the same place. My job number is 270, VIN 194370S409516.

Maybe not on some years including 1970, but 61-62 there is a very real connection.
