    Prototype L78

    Does anyone know the history on this L78, VIN 194375S100046, listed in Noland Adam's 63-67, Restoration Guide, Vol 2, as a prototype L78 on page 312?

      Do not know history on it. It may have been the one used by Road $ Track, Hot Rod, Motor Trend and other mags when the L78 option became a reality in Oct / November of 1964. The car used had several differences from production models, the most notably being chrome plated valve covers and location of TI unit. Back in the day no stressed over vin's.
