Replacing front right front brake caliper and rubber flex brake line but someone destroyed the flare fitting nut on the steel line making it impossible to loosen. My dilemma is I need to replace the steel line and it looks like an impossible task with the engine in the car. Has anyone done this? If so how did you do it/

I've never replaced the C2 line you ask about. However, I've replaced it on a 1969 and I believe the routing and configuration of the lines is virtually the same. I can't really explain how it was done but I can tell you that, as I recall, it was quite easy and there was certainly no need to remove the engine. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Same here. I've done it from the front of the car, from underneath the nose, with no major difficulty.Vice-Chairman (West), Michigan Chapter NCRS

c-2 and c-3 front left to right brake line tubing are essentially identical and there is no need to remove the engine to replace it. the left and right fittings are accessible as are the two clips that secure the tubing to the front crossmember. should take about an hour to replace it. good luck, mike- Top
