64 seatbelt color

I have a 64 red conv. with white interior are the seatbelts Red or white I have never seen white seatbelts the dash is Red?

what color is the carpet? Belts I would think should match the carpet.

If the carpet matches the dash (red) then the seatbelts should be red, as well.

Belts should be red. Here are a few pictures of my belts in my mid January 1964 built convertible. Belts are original and were steam cleaned by Charlie Santorelli prior to being sown on to the newly restored buckles. They've been judged at all levels and received no deducts for color.

What is listed on the trim tag? A number of two-tone trim colors in leather and vinyl.
Mine is a two tone, 491CB, and has white belts. Now if it turns out to be white the date code
on the white belts may very well still be 1963. So before you purchase any white belts, ask.

My '64 has an 899CA trim, white leather with black dash and carpets, but the seat belts are white.

And that takes much effort.....but you should have seen them in 1975, when the car was wasting away outside a house in Cincinnati for many years......

Friend had a blue 64 coupe with white seats and it had white seat belts. Have about 100 feet of white seat belt material if you need some.

I just went thru this, have a Saddle 64 w/white interior and the belts are white.

I have a friend who has pictures of his '65 white/red interior coupe when new, and the belts were red by then. I am wondering if they ran out of the batch of white belts they had stockpiled by '65 and started putting carpet colored ones in?
