1969 us grand prix pace car

I know this is way off the Corvette subject matter…..However; I'm wondering is anyone knows if the 1969 U.S Grand Prix, held in Watkins Glen; NY had a 69' white Camaro SS - 396 used as a safety/pace car….? There's one out there on the internet & I'm stumped if it's the real deal or just a myth….

David, I found a YouTube video called "Watkins Glen In Car 1969-1970". Image is from the video. The Camaro is parked at the edge while a wrecker removes a race car. Chris

David, found a better photo. This is the victory parade after the 69 Grand Prix. Winner Jochen Rindt is in the Corvette.
