I understand that as the headlight wiring harness leaves the engine bay and traverses over the core support it is secured to the front driver side edge of the core support with a single "S" clip approximately 6" down from the top. My question...which side of the core support is the harness retained. In other words, should the "S" clip be mounted so that the harness is routed on the radiator side of the core support or the fender side of the core support? It's all in the details. AIM was no help nor was the TIM&JG as far as visual evidence of routing.

Re: Routing of headlight wiring harness
Leif, I am not sure if 63 is the same but my harness drapes over the top of core and heads to a J clip mounted on inner driver fender in front of core area. I know that there were multiple S clips to hold the horn wire to core support.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Re: Routing of headlight wiring harness
Hi Leif,
The 1967 5th edition judging guide has a picture on page 153 (M-16-1). My 67 has the same clip in the same location positioned the same way.
If this is the clip you are asking about.
Kind Regards,

Re: Routing of headlight wiring harness
That's it!! I had looked at a different section in the TIM&JG and missed this one. It appears that the routing (direction of the hoop on the clip) is towards the inboard side of the support which makes sense as the harness wants to naturally go in that direction. Thanks for the sharp eyes.
Ed,
Thanks for your reply, as well.Leif
