    Auction Descriptions - New

Less than 30 days away, the writers of "Auto Descriptions" for auctions keep carving new ground. At BJ, lot #1311 ('67 435 cvt) has "Saddle vinyl interior as VERIFIED by the non-original trim tag" (CAPS supplied). A NEW standard for verification is born!!

I have no idea who owns it. The "fine print" just gets finer.

There is also an alleged one of four '67 L71 'vert, black with bright blue interior and blue stinger (I think I read 17,000 original miles) in the BJ auction. Can't wait for that description.

          Hi Michael,
There is a black, bright blue 67 L71 convertible with 36,000? miles at Mecum's Kissimmee auction. They say it is the only known example.
It sure takes a lot of due diligence to buy an old corvette.

That must be the one, I just glanced at the email it was pictured in from Barrett Jackson. Yes, I long ago got over buying cars at auction and having to engage in that risky venue, I have been tempted a few times, but always resisted. It is much better to buy from long time owners and cars with a documented history and with owners you can talk to and can trust to do that due diligence.
