Boy, I bet the guy who took that original power steering off of this ridiculously rare piece of history is kicking himself now....Just the thought of actually seeing that famous hand-crafted oil pan, with line supervisor Bubba (B.J.) Cooter's signature (X) on it makes me drool...

I've closely examined the numbers on both documents and found that if you add 826856 and 415467 and divide by 2 and round down, you get 621116, which must be what they meant to type into those areas...

            Hi Mike,
You 63 guys are lucky. I have a 67 coupe that doesn't have the split window option. The next question is always "do the numbers match?" My reply of "no" usually elicits a look of pity on their faces as they walk off shaking their heads in disbelief at my stupidity.

Then the paperwork is bogus. But we knew that anyway.

Nice looking car, but with bogus paperwork, everything else become highly suspect.

Is "Yuban" still the coffee of choice for aging stickers in the microwave or has "the factory" moved on to a different brand?

I have had a few customers that wanted power steering with their fuel injection. Right now I have one that is putting air conditioning on his original 63 FI car. But they are not making up any paper work. Just want that for their own enjoyment. What's wrong with that? Nothing.
But they are not advertising it as real deal.

That is why I tell the great unwashed that I own a VERY RARE big block delete convertible.

I gotta be the only guy in Corvettdom who had his "fuel injection" bar taken off and holes filled in in a recent repaint of my formerly black car:

Well, it looks like a "sleeper" now.

No one will ever know, you've got the highest horsepower engine available in 1963.

Refer to page 291 in the AIM, if you need the exact location of the fuel injection name plate, but you probably knew that already.

Nice looking car by the way. The paint looks good from here.

Probably won't need the AIM. If I ever put the FI bars back on, I'll just drill through the filler in the existing holes (from the inside). It's also got a hydraulic cam and air conditioning now, so maybe not so much power. Thanks though...
