    66 Seat Bracket paint question

I'm referring to the 66 seat rear 'U' shaped bracket and plate underneath. The judging guide doesn't not say what color these should be.

My 66 is an A.O. Smith body, if that matters. As I recall the U bracket and plate underneath were the green phosphate primer when I removed them. I repainted them the same, but as I am now ready to put them in the car I decided to paint them semi-gloss black. Now I'm not sure why I did.

I found the attached picture in a thread related to carpet install in a 66. The U bracket is black and the plate is green in this picture.

Any 66 interior judges out there who can give me guidance?

    Thanks,
    Don

The ones I just pulled off my AO Smith 65, both the U bracket and plate were black. They were in the car when painted so they usually have some body color overspray on them. The riveted nut plate under the floor is zinc chromate.

      Thanks Stewart.

I was thinking that depending on when these were installed they could be different colors. I.e., if they were installed during body build at A.O. Smith then they could be the green primer, but if all of them were installed later in the process at St. Louis then probably all black.
