My car is a 64 but I need the part number for the 8 screws that hold the outer splash shield from the 63 AIM. This is a 3847758 for 64 and was probably a 3816170 in 63. In 64 the AIM is sec 11-13 sht A3.00. thganks for any help

If you're talking about the stamped steel splash shields behind the front inner fenders between frame and body, it's shown in Section 11-13 sheets 6.00 and 7.00 of the '63 AIM. The attaching screws are as you say, 3816170, and torque is specified as 10-15 lb-ft.

Thank you. I bought 8 of these used...7/8 long with serrated washers....by some opinions correct for early 64 cars (mine built in late Nov. 63)....but they are very long for the application. The 64 part number is the same length. Difficult to understand why they used such long screws to attach a piece of sheet metal to a weld nut....but it is what it is.Comment
