Re: 1971 Jack repair Quesion
Paul, why not mix up some JB weld and skim coat the bottom plate and block sand?? these Jacks were really never made to take apart. Since they really are used for judging reasons, I would attempt a repair.I have a 1971 jack that is in very ggod shape except the bottom plate which has been rusted and pitted. Re: 1971 Jack repair Quesion
JB might be a better choice, but is a little hard to work with when sanding, Bondo is a little more absorbent to moisture and dampness will cause it to bubble, the choice is yours either will work.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
