1967 #113948, on ebay, top fight from Florida, that their website does not confirm??

I was bidding on a 67 coupe, listed on ebay, the listing shows a top flight cert. from the Florida regional from Jan 2008. I checked their website and they list all the awards but this car is not listed? Does anyone know this car or the owner listed on the certificate "Anthony Smith" Can not find him in our members listing?

William, A link to the ebay listing or ad# would help.

I looked around on my ncrsfl.org site and found a "Smith" owner but it was a convertible.

Does the certificate have a #? Or is 2008 before #ing began?

Just in case you didn't see this CF posting, the general opinion is that the engine pad is an incorrectly done restamp.

I looked in back issues of the Corvette Restorer 2008-2009 at the Kissimmee results and now can't remember whether I found the owner listed. I don't have access to the mags at this time.

That stamp is one of the all time greats, only the Fonowanda stamp is better

Well, Rich has a picture and # of the award, but someone (from ?) says it was not issued, according to the OP. Is the certificate # at least among those issued to the Florida Chapter? What do the National records indicate?

I believe all the awards given from the Florida Chapter in 2008 are listed in "The Restorer".

Might want to check there!

NO!!!, I quit bidding very early, especially after I had my questions about the NCRS top fight certificate being REAL?

Maybe someone from the Florida chapter, will read this and could check back on their records?

JR, it means nothing negative - just a reference to the amount of time some of us old farts have been around. No need for anyone to pay this fee - you would think someone at National/Florida would be interested enough to find out if it's real for free. If not, it's "sic 'em" time.
