    66 Engine compartment wiring question

I have three , as of yet unattached , wires that come out of the middle of the engine wiring harness .

One single black wire with a plastic connector attached . One double pink wire attached to a metal connector .

    See Photos for better identification.

    Where do they go

    Thanks for help !

The black one is the ground wire for the wiper motor. The pink one goes to the resistor shown in the corner of pic number three.

JR, Doesn't the double Pink go to Coil+ ?

It's early and I don't have a AIM in front of me, but from memory I believe one of the Pink pair from Coil+ goes down to Solenoid R, the other is wrapped in the harness and goes over to Ballast output.

As for the black wire: Once everything else is in place, it is darn hard to see that wiper motor ground connection .
The double pink is now on the + side coil .

            Thank you Gentlemen !!

I don't have an AIM within reach but have the Lectric Ltd laminated wiring schematic. It shows double pink to coil. It looks as though it's showing pink to resistor, continuing on to one of the pinks in the double. Since they come out of the harness seperately I can't figure out what is supposed to go from the other side of the reisistor UNLESS there is some resistor under the dash in that harness that's already in one side of the double pink, which is what the schematic looks like. This is the only '66 I've ever had around me and the harnesses are different part numbers from my 63's and '67's, so I don't have anything to compare to. They had a ballast resistor mounted on the right side of the cowl, through bolted into well under the wiper arm and the resistor had 5 wires going to it, I guess for their Pertronix conversion. So I went it with side cutters and cleared everything out back to the fuse panel except for the back up lights, wipers, etc.
