I am doing a frame off restoration on my 70 BB convertible. I have everything removed from the frame and am replacing the bottom half of passenger side center crossmember. It has a serious hole in it that was there when I bought it. Here is a picture of what I cut out:

You can see four small holes in the picture. The driver side has four matching holes. They look to be original, but I am not sure if they should be there or not. Can someone tell me whether to add four holes to the replacement piece or fill in the holes in the drivers side. My car is an early 70 built in early Feb 1970.
