    Garage door opener

I am doing research on how many people have had problems programming their Home-link door openers in the 2012 or all C-6 Corvettes. I have a Lift Master, wall mounted opener that I cannot program in my Grand Sport convertible. Went to dealer, where I purchased the car, called all the people who are supposed to be helpful and even purchased a router to strengthen the signal with no results. I had the people who installed the door opener and still nothing. Had friends over who assisted me with this and still at wits end,......WHO DO I CALL NOW????????

God is probably not into garage door openers.

You are out of luck! But you could ask!

      Jerry,
Just drive the 62 and use the garage door remote. Problem solved.

Seriously, the ignition in my 68 will not allow the garage door remote to work. Stock everything except packard 440 wires. My other cars no issue.

        Jerry,

I've asked one of the Gentex Homelink guys who is Chapter member to take a look at the thread and see if he can help.
Let's see if he has a chance to respond.

Have the same issue with my '06 C6 with the same opener.
interesting that I had the same opener in my previous home (installed in '08) and was able to program but built new house and installed the wall mounted units on both doors. They both program to wife's SRX but C6 does not recognize the remote on either unit so cannot complete programming.
i had figured that the '06 was too old to recognize the later unit.

Gene, I dive both and have to use hand held control in both the 62 and the 2012. It's a shame that people spend this kind of$$$$ and can't get things to work. I have to get another hand held remote instead of getting the one out of my Silverado.

Dpends on how old your opner is it might use a different frequency then the cars button. Chamblern sells a device that allows it to work. A good garage door company should be able to help

Keith, I bought the door opener in 2012 so I could put a 4 post lift in my two car garage. Called everyone and got the device you mentioned and still no luck.

                      Hey Jerry,
I think electronics and software has a mind of it's own. And it must be female since it's directing us.

and one more piece of advice (and I think he's right that it's not HomeLink in most C6's):

...early C6's 05-06 had HomeLink. All other C6's have Car2u. Car2u can be easily identified by number of LEDs (1 per button/3 total vs. 1 LED for HomeLink)

The issue is that some new(er) garage door openers are not compatible (in essence new technology). The fix is to use a repeater.

John Daly, my 2012 does not have a home link system, it is a Learcar2U. Have had all the people on the phone and done all the thing( Jumping though hoops) that have been suggested with nothing but aggravation. Have PUNTED on this as I've got bigger fish to fry. I will use the hand held remote and follow my dear friend Gene Manno's advice. My 62 has a lot less electrical GREMLINS.
