Yes, 9 fin, low script.
If you look at the Passenger side door panel, do I see the telltale of a '58 with the upper panel horizontal feature? Just to the left of her right eye...

Re: Who is this famous Corvette owner?
It would be interesting if someone could locate the General's daughter and see if she might want to talk about her car.
When our family lived in S.F., I remember Willie Mays backing a white C-1 out of his garage.
The personal stories can be almost as much fun as the cars.

Re: Who is this famous Corvette owner?
In 1955 I was stationed at Maxwell AFB Montgomery, Ala. I worked the flight line changing spark plugs on B-25's. My boss was a crusty old six striper who was a book man. Late one afternoon we were told to assist the flight line crew, as General LaMay was arriving in his C-97. The plane arrived and the pilot spun it around so the rear was facing the parking location, between two hangers. The pilot reversed the props
and began backing into the space. The old six strip ran from his office to the pilots side and began waving his arms and screaming up to the pilot. A head poked out of the pilots window with a big black cigar in his mouth and continued to back the plane. When the plane stopped the old sarge screamed up to the pilot "if that cigar is lit and with all the fuel dripping around, this plane will catch on fire". The pilot was General LeMay. He, the General responded "sarg it wouldn't dare"!- Top
