    Trico PR15-2 versus PR15-2W

I think this is relevant to 63, 64 and some 65 cars. I have two each of the above numbers NOS. The 2W is arched or curved on the upper end more so than the other which is flatter. I suspect the curve is to accomodate a curved windshield. Does anyone know which is right for a 64 corvette, the 2 or the 2W or is it one of each?

All have the same (correct) markings and inserts which is generally what I see discussed on the forum. I bought two sets of holders over time which are like the 2's (flatter) but I don't think that means anything.

TRICO PR15-2 wiper blade will not fit a 63,64 or 65 Corvette.
The PR15-2 has a narrow bayonet where it connects to the arm.
A PR15-2W (W as in wide) wiper blade will attach to a 63,64 or 65 Corvette.

      Re: Trico PR15-2 versus PR15-2W

Thanks Bob. I checked the PR15-2's that i just received and the clasps are narrow and will not work so I'll return them. But I'm still interested. The curved versus flatter I suggested above is still there. I checked again. The holders I have on the car are exactly like the PR15-2W's I have NOS...both sets are curved. But early this year I bought on eBay a set of holders with the wide clasps which are flat just like the PR15-2's which I'll return due to narrow clasps. So can you speak to the application of the flat holders/wipers versus the more curved. In operation on the car the wipers are fairly straight at rest and move to a near vertical position at full arc which keeps them flat also. They never really engage the curve of the windshield so I'm not sure the curved is required or correct. Any comment on this?

        Larry,

I only know enough about this to get in trouble but it's always been my understanding the curved refills go on a passenger car like Impala etc.
