Are 63 stock mufflers quieter then magnaflow

The magnaflow mufflers have a great sound but I'm into quiet now so are the stock replacement muffler that can be purchased from any vendor quieter.

Cant speak for every replacement muffler but I'd say almost positively yes. I replaced a set of turbo style mufflers(typically quieter than Magnaflows) for a complete Gardner factory style exhaust and it was significantly quieter.

There is a new pair of stock reproduction mufflers listed in the classified section. Well worth the money if you have a 2 inch diameter system.

Thanks but I have a 2.5" system. I like the website that Doug has listed and I plan on calling them Monday and see what the price is. I'm assuming Dong had no problem with the fit. I've purchased several systems from Corvette Central for a C1 and they fit well but have never purchased a set for a C2.
