Talked to a tech at Fort Wayne Clutch. They said they can make an easy pedal clutch and pressure plate. Has anyone use their product before.

Re: Has anyone use the Easy Pedal pressure plate by Fort Wayne Clutch
They have been around forever. Back when we had a local drag strip lots of guys used their clutches. I know they do a lot of specialty clutches for classic cars where a replacement would be impossible to find. I had a Ft Wayne clutch in my 1970 El Camino SS 454 LS6 back in the day. I think they can probably build exactly what you want in a custom clutch.

The leverage ratio is established by the clutch linkage, so the only way to reduce pedal effort is to have less clutch clamping force. Be sure your pedal linkage is set up for the normal 6.5" throw and not the 5.0" throw if you want minimum pedal effort.

Just for info how much are they asking for this special clutch? A good diaphragm clutch (Luk) has very little effort and will last a lifetime on most peoples classic cars. I put 25,000 on a Luk and it shows very little wear when removed because of engine change. Just my old 2 cents!
