C2 coupe rear window spacers/ installation
Using butyl tape for rear window instillation. Would I still use both spacers (flat and grooved) or would I eliminate the flat ones? Also confused about orientation of spacers,do they both go under the edge of the glass? Or do the grooved ones go under the edge,and the flat ones On the inside of the glass with the butyl tape? Attempted to install glass yesterday, dry fit everything looked fine, but when I added butyl tape fit changed and was unable to install top and bottom stainless to my satisfaction. Thinking that the butyl tape may eliminate the need for the flat spacers.

Check out the thread "67 C2 coupe rear window spacers" at the bottom of this thread. I had the same question back in 2004. I used only the grooved spacers around the EDGE of the glass (not under it) and the glass/trim fit perfectly. -
