Have a 1970 Big Block Roadster that is finally complete. Now I want to re-cover the auxiliary hardtop. Can anyone tell me where I can obtain the correct vinyl material and supplies? Thanx in advance for any assistance!

Re: Vinyl Top Material
Hi Bob,
First DB post!!!!
I searched back through hard-top posts and found just one reference to buying the vinyl to recover a 68+ hard-top.
That post mentioned Al Knock as the source.
It also cautioned that there were no installation instructions at all.
I'd think a call to AK would get you a sample of the material they supply and maybe some guidance on the proper adhesive to use.
The AK site seems to list the vinyl as a landau top, but the price seems too low, so I'm not sure if it's in fact what you need.
A photo on the web that is described as being the AK vinyl covering appears to show it complete with the 2 seams, and the cut-out for the rear window.
Good Luck!

Re: Vinyl Top Material
I was looking into this regarding my 1967 some time back...see the discussion thread near the bottom of this page called "C2 Vinyl Hardtop material".
https://www.forums.ncrs.org/showthread.php?95388-C2-Vinyl-Hardtop-material-l
Some good discussion about whether it's a good DIY project or not IMHO.
I assume that the information would be applicable to C3's as well.
I also remember reading somewhere that the vinyl top material used (again C2 context for me) was still fairly readily accessible at local trim/interior/top shops.- Top
