    NCRS Texas Regional meet

Awesome event! The Texas Chapter puts on this great event every year and this was no exception. I attended the event Saturday morning. It was dominated by C-2s. I also liked John McIlvoy's black 1957 Fuelie and Fred Beagles' silver 1970 LT-1 convertible.

Folks: Congratulations to all the hard working volunteers that successfully and seamlessly stewarded the 2016 NCRS Lone Star Regional in Frisco, Texas this past week. The boys at NASA have nothing on you. It was incredibly well organized from A to Z. It was also a real blast to meet such a fine group of hospitable and knowledgeable men and women; as well as to see some amazing Corvettes. Many thnaks to all. Best, Ned

Ned, Great meeting you and the fun times together at the reception and dinner out. Glad you had a great time as a newcomer to the judging experience. You had the right attitude...... to go and have fun and learn about your car.

Very well organized event and many thanks to the folks of the Texas Chapter for their hard work. Great venue there at the convention center, and the weather was perfect.

Congrats to the entrants and thanks for bringing them, all 80+ of them. I hope we can get that many in January for the Florida Winter Regional!!

              Rich,
Sorry I missed getting to meet you. I asked a couple of other members if they had seen you because I had read that you were going to be there. Nobody was able to steer me in your direction. My '67 Coupe was almost directly behind Ned's. Hopefully, we meet in the future as I have a very high regard for your contributions to this TDB.

Nice to meet you too Ned, and enjoyed the long talks we had about so many things. Loved your car and hope to see it and you again soon.

Leif, Don Hooper mentioned you were looking for me but I was wrapped up at the time with the 67 Chassis guys, Reggie and Rick. I'm sad that we didn't meet. I think the other Chassis judge group must have done yours. We did 8 on Friday IIRC.

Dave Zuberer was also there and we finally met after many years of writing documents together. He just sent them to me this afternoon. Dave on the right.

He snapped a few photos when I wasn't looking. Below...I'm the secretary with the clip board jotting down the jargon that the the 2 judges told me to. That maroon '67 had 239,000+ miles on it with more documentation than you could imagine. The present owner is the second owner. Factory AC car too.

It was also great to meet my friend Jim Gessner there. Jim's good friend Ed W. flew in from California to Texas and drove Jim to the event. Awesome thing to do for Jim.

Can't wait for the next meet, to meet and greet more friends from all around the country. Great cars and great people.

I see in photo 3 above you relaxing next to your white coupe not 40 feet from where Mozzetta is splayed out behind the 240K mile 67 coupe!!
                    Don't you hate that??!!
ps, it wasn't I who told Rich you were looking for him. If it had been, I would have pointed him out to you.... I saw him working hard on the 67s.

Sorry Don, I though it was you who mentioned Leif. Funny how you and I never met in Lakeland, my home zone, yet we finally did meet in the middle of the country half way between our home zones.

                        Don,
"Relaxing" is a relative term when my car is being judged. I had met and talked to the owner of the 240k miles coupe during operations check. Great, laid back gentleman from Tennessee...and, what a unique car.

As one of the "other" '67 chassis judges on Friday, I give the most beautiful frame award to Leif's car. It will serve as a model for me, thanks for bringing your car Leif, and congrats once again!

Thanks for the nice compliment and for your expert judging (along with Jay) of my chassis. Y'all's comments will go a long way in furthering my car's march forward.
