    1969 rearend????????????????

    I have a 390 hp with 4 speed, the #s are hard to rear, looks like AT 222 E 1 or AI 222 E I, can that be original? thanks.

    Keith, can you post a picture? The "AT" (and "CAT" for late 1969 through 1970) code was used from 1965-1970 for a 3.08 Posi (heavy duty), but that date format is 1971 and later, and there wasn't an "AT" code used those years. The date format used from 1965-1970 would be something like "2 AT 4 22 69 W" (3.08 Posi assembled on April 22nd, 1969 at the Warren, MI plant, 2nd shift).

    Here's an example (4.11 Posi assembled on August 7th, 1969 at the Warren, MI plant, 2nd shift)
