Looking for a gas tank for my '70. Paragon sells a 24 gallon. Has anyone used these? If so, are there any fitment issues with the larger tank?

Re: Paragon service replacement gas tank
The larger tanks are meant for the 78-and-later cars with the sloped rear deck due to the fastback rear window.
I would not guarantee that it would fit in your 70.Vice-Chairman (West), Michigan Chapter NCRS

Patrick and Justin------
If Justin is talking about the 78-82 tank, it cannot be used on a pre-78 for several reasons.
If there is some other retrofit 24 gallon tank available for earlier Corvettes, I am not aware of it.
Fuel tanks are a major safety item. While the 78-82 tank is safer due to its formed-in-place bladder, the engineering for it is based upon other elements of the 78-82 configuration. Trying to "re-engineer" the fuel system of an earlier car is problematic. 1963-82 Corvettes are dangerous enough as far as the fuel system goes without "re-engineering" compromising it further. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
