1963 shock decals

Would a Feb. 63 with black shocks have the paper decal as the JG is confusing. Thanks in advance.

63s didn't have shock decals, they had paint marks to ID them.

Are there any photo's of what/where the paint marks were on the 1963 shocks? I just had my originals rebuild and would like to mark them correctly before I re-install them.

Z06 had a blue slash of paint on the bottom.
Original 63 STD shocks had tan or light brown paint slash (daub).
I think this info is in the 63 AIM under front suspension.

The pic gives you an idea of how an original shock was color coded with a paint before decals were used.

My 63 the LWC has original front shocks. For looks only. No marks at them at all Jorjorian. Especially after I glass beaded them.
