Can anyone tell me if this oil pump is original for a 327/300 1965 Corvette

One way to tell is the configuration of the pressure relief spring. Remove it and report free length, number of coils, and the color of any paint blotch remaining. The 300 HP engine used the 40-45 psi relief spring, which was used for all Corvette small blocks of the era other than late '63-'65 SHP/FI and LT-1.
Maybe Joe L. can comment on the visible "419" and "USA" molded into the casting. Also, there is a steel tag under a bolt head, but I can't make out the number. What is it? My hunch is that this is an aftermarket pump.

This pump is definitely NOT the original pump installed on your engine. It's not even an original replacement. Just from what I can see of it, there are 2 easy tip-offs. Original pumps of this era used slotted head screws for attachment of the cover to the body; this pump has hex head screws. The "USA" embossed on the side is another tip-off. No original pumps had this marking; aftermarket replacements often do. Original pumps (or original replacement pumps) had GM casting numbers embossed on the pump body and on the cover. I don't recall the numbers off-hand (and I'm too lazy to go out and dig one out) but they are both 7 digit part numbers beginning with "37"In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
