    Winter Tire storage

Are stacking four tires with out rims correct or side by side standing at attention? What about on rims what is correct? Should they be fully pumped up with air or nitrogen. Is rotation needed if moss starts growing on tires?

    Re: Winter Tire storage

I probably doesn't make any difference. The important thing is to keep them away from UV light and any ozone producing electrical items. I have stored tires for several of my cars that range in age from 20-50 years that show no signs of deterioration. Some are stored upright in my garage tire rack, both unmounted and mounted with normal TP (but I don't check it very often) and some are stacked, unmounted in a downstairs closet.
