70-72 final monthly sn

The 5th Ed of the 70-72 TIMJG lists SN 508406 as the final SN for Nov 1972 cars. My SN is 508451 with a D30 (11/30/71) build date. Is the TIMJG incorrect or is there another possible explanation?

Is D30 the date on the Trim Tag?
If so, that is the day the body was built. It rolled off the line as a complete car 1-2 days later, as you can see.

I gather that the final sn in the TIMJG are the cars that were completely built in that month. D30 is my body build date. My car probably was completely assembled 12/1/71 or 12/2/71.
