All I did at this years National is stand next to the car, take a mouth full of water and blow it into the lines. When it came out the squirt'rs I put the tube back in the water holder. It ran fine the next morning during Ops. Check.

Lots of ex-horn players in the hobby I guess. Not sure I've got the puffing power to get water out the nozzles, but guess I'll give it a try while waiting for the syringe to come in the mail :-)

re the syringe - I used one out of my wife's kitchen drawer - she calls it a baster (base-ster) - available in most kitchen tool stores. Normally used to suck juices off the bottom of a hot pan or pot and squirt the juice on to a piece of meat - like a turkey.

I had to run a piece of electrical tape around the lip where the rubber squeeze bulb met the plastic tube - once I did that I could squeeze the bulb and force water through the supply line. Can't imagine this device is very expensive. After you get your washer pump running you can give it to your wife as a gift - and then sleep in the garage for a few nights.

Check out the pic - this is called a "turkey baster" - it is exactly what I used and it worked great.

We will definitely be having turkey but..... it may have a bit of a blue / green tint to it.
