There must be another contact point for the C1 Registry other than their "contact us" button - anyone know what it is? The issue is with 1960 #6767, which is carried on their registry as a "Camoradi Corvette" and I'm curious as to the source. The "giveaway" starts with the VIN and the Registry's 2nd line, "approximate birthday", which is shown as "April 26, 1960".
The entry continues with "car history" and recites its initial race in Cuba as a win (Unfortunately the race ran on FEBRUARY 24, 1960); its 2nd race in Cuba as "8th overall" (also on FEBRARY 27, 1960 and also was lst in GT); and recites the driver switch at Sebring (on MARCH 26, 1960) and its 26th overall finish (2nd in its GT class to the Class-winning Hall-Frittts Corvette).
There WAS a second Camoradi car that burned to the asphalt at Lee Lilley's Miami Garage on the Monday after Sebring, as a result of attempting to start it with an open fuel line where the fuel filter should have been.
But that car WAS NOT #6767 AND #6767 WAS NEVER A PART OF THE CAMORADI TEAM. FIX IT!
Verification of old race cars 50 years later is NOT something you want to volunteer for because it's "fun" and it's a lot more complicated than "I saw it on the Internet!". To have it complicated even further by total off-the-wall b_____t like "6767" is not needed by anyone.
