I recently saw an ad from someone who is reproducing wheel weights that read in ounces rather than grams, but don't remember where I saw it. Trying to obtain every point I can for Frisco. Does anyone have any information on this?

Re: Wheel Weights
I have some original "winged" MICRO weights left over from a midyear restoration I finished in 2014. I have the following weights.
1 - 0.5 oz.
2 - 0.75 oz.
4 - 1.25 oz.
11 - 1.5 oz.
1 - 2.5 oz.
2 - 3.0 oz.
Send me your email address and I'll send you a picture of them. I'll make you a heck of a deal on them if you can use them.

Re: Wheel Weights
I think I'm the guy you might be looking for? Thanks to Alan for the plug! Yes, I have every size MICRO weight available from .5 to 5.0. (of course we know GM only used weights up to 2.5). In addition I also have about twenty different manufacturers weights, so if you want to have some fun with the judges.....
Send me your needs and I'll get them to you right away.
Take care
PS: Mr West I'd be interested in your left overs?- Top

Re: Wheel Weights
When you have your wheels and tires balanced have the shop use whatever weights they want as long as they are in oz. When you get home mark where they are located and replace them with the originals. If your spare is a real spare (non-DOT) from the 60's put a real weight on it anywhere as you will never drive on it anyway.

In the 6th edition of the 61-62 TIMJG we have several photos of known brands that we believe to have been originally installed at the factory. Besides Micro weights, the second brand that has been observed was marked with an "U". However, we haven't been able to positively identify the manufacturer.
