    C4 Steering

This C4 steers like a truck! My C3 steers 100% better! Both have all original components. Are there any items to consider?

Well, if the car has high mileage you might need a steering rack.

However, I can tell you this: on the day it was new my 1992 was a lot more difficult to steer than my 1969 with power steering. C3's with manual steering are a whole 'nuther matter, though.

Can you be more specific? Too much play, pulling, numb, too much/little boost...
The C4s I've owned handled great.

Handling is one thing; steering effort is another.

first thing to check would be the tires and the pressure

Handling great! Steering in the start position you need a lot of grunt. Mileage under 16000.

The tires are original and are not cracked, hold air with no loss of air! The people at Good year tire said as long as there not cracked don't worry. I have purchased four new replacements when Good year made a short production run last year and are still seeking stock rims to place them on. I guess its time replace the originals.

The C4's are known for tight/stiff steering. They are very responsive, sometimes too responsive, and take some time getting use to.
