C2 Small block cylinder heads factory crayon marks

Please advise what the factory crayon mark "308" signifies, written sideways on the front cylinder head/drivers side above the double humps.

The passenger front side hasn't been cleaned yet.

Opposite end towards the firewall appears to also have similar crayon marks (engine still in car) that look like "RD" which matches the engine code on one side and also most of the same "30_" on the other side.

Thanks Don for the message.
I checked those exact posts first before placing my inquiry.
Unless I missed it, there was only mention of the engine code letters but nothing that I saw relative to the "308" on the other head??
Hopefully, someone else out there will shed some light!

many of the answers in that thread discuss the number on the end of one head. Including a couple posts by John Hinckley (32, 35) that specifically identify the meaning of the number. Usually when he says it, you can take it to the bank.
