Which speedo drive gear do I need 59 P/G

I have a 59 283/230 power glide from what I see the rear gear is suppose to be a 355 Ratio ? what the color/ number of teeth
for this trans.

Assuming that you do have a 3.55:1 rear gear ratio, you require driven gear GM #3708142. This is a RED nylon gear of 21 tooth count. However, this gear is different from later 21 tooth red gears which are far more common. The 3708142 has a longer drive shank ("stem") than the later gear.

Thanks Joe, yes the know the gear is a tad longer.some of the Vender's sell the correct length.
