1964 convertible original paint

Where would one look for traces of the original paint if the body has been stripped and repainted a different color?

There must be somewhere on the car where the original paint would be left untouched.

Any ideas?

Look deep inside the door hinge pockets, behind kick panels & door panels, in fenderwells and all the other hidden areas. To do an "undetectable" color change requires a lot more labor than most are willing to expend.

Are you saying the trim tag is gone or replaced?

David to add the mix, the piller posts are a area that sometimes un-touched , but requires the exterior trim on windshield be removed.

Look in the storage area behind the seats. And also under the rear carpet. Usually there is over spray in there as to the body color.
