    Looks like much less A O Smith progress (making bodies in 1967, prior to K15). When did they stop all together?

        Perhaps Ara thought your tag was also from a 1966 Corvette.

            Here's a K19 1967 AO Smith Trim tag on 22049:



            Note the green check mark. I understand that was the check mark applied at St. Louis.

            I'm not a pad expert, but it looks like the rivets in the original posted 66 pad have been tampered with. Or maybe they did it that way in 66

              Thanks All;

              I have been able to get independent confirmation hat this IS a reproduction trim tag, put on the car at the request of the owner when the color change occurred. Thanks for everyone's input.
