    A Modern C2

Boy, I'm I getting modern. Just tested out my new GPS on a short trip to a Chapter meet in Folsom CA from Sonora CA.

Didn't realize how well this fit with my 67 interior and with the suction cup mount to the windshield:

But I kept arguing with the lady over whether it was the correct route or whether it was supposed to be a left or right.

Another modernization is the slick luggage on the back. Reminiscent luggage of my 1969 trip NY to CA with everything I owned in the back (including the convertible top). The original luggage is in my avatar.

My stuff goes on the back on the luggage rack, my wife's luggage goes in back of the seats along with my tools and spare parts. There is hardly any room for my personal stuff and CPAP, so it goes on the back.

One thing that is very useful on a trip is my NOS hardtop brace which I acquired some years ago. Makes it very easy to load and unload luggage on a trip. I'm thinking about reproducing this brace and selling it on ebay, maybe $99 a piece. Only Kidding

You will notice my winnings at the Glorie's Chapter Meet Raffle, a Tupperware set. Some years ago, at a Fall chapter meet in Lake Tahoe, I won a lighted Halloween lamp about 18" around at the chapter raffle. I could not fit it in the back of the seat with the luggage, so I tied it on to the luggage rack to go home. I got beeps and laughed all the way home to Sonora.

    Just having fun,

Wow, I'm especially fond of that optional stick to hold up the hard top. Was that a California only option like the three tail lights?

The suction cup will never pass judging - supposed to secure the map gizmo with 6 bolts that have an integrated washer that are marked "RBWKZMLFRWEKM", see page 1432 of the JG if you don't believe me.

My original map gizmo is secured with 4 TRWBRBW screws and my car is original because I bought it from the 20th owner.
