    Jack------

Anchor makes a lot of different engine mounts for many applications. It's possible that some are currently made in the USA (although I doubt it).

In any event, all currently-manufactured Anchor engine mounts for 1963-82 Corvette applications are foreign sourced. India and Korea are two common source countries. If you can find an Anchor mount for 63-82 Corvettes manufactured in "days-of-old", you might find a USA-manufactured piece. But, it would have to be quite old. Foreign sourcing of these mounts has been the rule for at least the last 20 years.

By the way, an Anchor locking mount for 1963-82 Corvettes costs $2.61 from Rock Auto. Does something about that make you suspicious about the quality?

Volunteer Vette does have what they call the reproduction mount and the locking mount. Think they are a little more than $2.61 but they are known for NOT buying suspension parts from foreign suppliers.

      Check it out.

If I find and purchase NOS part #1-6258154 do I have to worry about the rubber being bad since the part is 40-50 years old??? If yes, what's the point of buying an NOS motor mount---and I'm back were I started--needing to replace them buy no good sources for new.

The Corvette Central part is a high quality unit, and I was more than impressed with them.
Given current motor mounts available I think they're by far the best option no matter where they may have been made.

There may be some deterioration with an old NOS engine mount. However, I believe that "in-the-box" deterioration is FAR, FAR less than "on-the-car" deterioration.

Can some tell me what the original part number is for the 71, 4-speed rubber transmission mount? I was able to buy a set of NOS motor mounts and am now working on the trans mount. Thank You.

$2.61? Sounds like one of those "quality" chinese ones.
