I just got back from the 6th annual Vail Automotive Classic Wheels and Wings Festival in Vail, Colorado. A very nice event and Corvette was the featured car this year. So, about 40 showed up, from 1954 to 2016, most for judging, some for display. There were about 18 C1, C2, and C3s. I went around to locate some of my fellow NCRS RMC members, several were there, but overall I would say about 3/4 of the C1, C2 and C3 cars were without NCRS stickers or owners who were members. A little disappointing, but we did try to talk to as many as possible and get them interested, as the cars were all very nice and about 2/3 were pretty original looking. There was also a road tour through the mountains for the entrants, an air show with WWII, Korean, and acrobatic planes along with the Air Force Academy skydiving teams, and an auction where about 75 cars were sold.
A picture of the C1, C2, C3 line in front, the C4, C5, C6, C7 line is behind them.
